Amity University, a leading private Indian University, invited Swami Smaranananda to give a keynote address during their week-long programme marking the International Day of Yoga. On June 17, 2019, Swami Smaranananda addressed an audience of 250 faculty members of Amity University at their large campus in Noida.
In his address, he emphasized that while all human beings are seeking happiness, they are doing so in the wrong places. Happiness is only to be found within, and the only way is through Yoga meditation, Swamiji said. He invited the participants to ask questions and also to subscribe to YSS lessons if they wished to know more about Kriya Yoga. Some of the participants enrolled for the YSS Lessons after the programme.
Swamiji also informed the audience that the Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda has been translated into 51 languages, including 14 Indian languages. Dignitaries on the dais were presented copies of this best-selling spiritual classic.
