The year 2010 will be remembered with special significance for Yogoda Satsanga Ashram-Noida, as on January 3, 2010, the Ashram was dedicated. The first Guru Purnima and Mahavatar Babaji’s Smriti Divas were celebrated there with great enthusiasm by devotees of the National Capital Region on Sunday, July 25, 2010.
The celebrations started early morning with a Prabhat Feri, where about 250 devotees participated, chanting the name of God & Gurus and carrying Gurudeva’s palanquin around our Ashram.
This was followed by satsangas and bhandara. Swami Hiteshananda said that each year a day is lovingly dedicated to the Guru, who is worshipped by his disciples as the speaking voice of silent God. Swamiji quoted from The Holy Science, where Swami Sri Yukteshwarji describes the Guru as the one who removes troubles, dispels our doubts, and bestows peace and wisdom on his disciples. Swami Amarananda’s melodious bhajans further uplifted the devotees and helped them to tune in with the blessings of the Gurus.
About 1,000 devotees participated in the celebrations. 2,000 persons were served Prasad during the bhandara.
