In keeping with the tradition of giving away presents to the underprivileged on Diwali day, this year too, YSS Noida Ashram invited children from Paramahansa Yogananda Swarna Bal Vatika (PYSBV) to its premises for a unique celebration of the festival of lights.
On the afternoon of November 7, 2018, Swami Lalitanandaji distributed presents to nearly 50 students of PYSBV.
Following this programme, devotees from nearby areas visited the ashram to participate in the group meditation conducted in the evening of this special festival. The PYSBV children sang melodious chants as they were joined in by devotees in their devotional singing.
The moonless night of Diwali was lit up with lamps and lights of various hues. As devotees and children stepped out of the main building onto the porch and entered the lawns after the meditation, they beheld a heavenly sight as the ashram campus radiated with these vibrant colours. Everyone present took candles and started lighting up more lamps which awaited them.
Though no crackers were burnt in the Ashram, the crackle of laughter and the joyous cheer of devotees and children rung through the air as they celebrated Diwali in divine company. At the close of the programme, they received prasad from Swami Lalitanandaji.
